OYSTER PLATTER
Programs: Maya, Photoshop, Substance painter, Nuke
Responsible for: Modeling assets except for the oysters and the bread. Look development and lighting of the whole scene.
IDEATION & gathering images
I collaborated with my good friend, Ben Gilbert for this project. The idea was to make an oyster platter with Ben's photogrammetry for the oysters and the bread. We set up a photogrammetry station and bought some oysters to crack open to use.
MODELLING
I started modeling some assets for the scene while also learning how to scan objects from Ben. I modeled the other assets from scratch.
Texturing and look development
Using the oysters we bought, I was able to take a few reference photos and start sculpting the insides of the oyster using Zbrush. I was also able to do a test of the oyster and how it looks in substance painter! I also brought in the bread Ben captured and worked on it.
Lighting
I did a lot of iterations on the lighting, I finally settled on the set up in the final images!
